Nostalgia for the Nineties and new takes on the "clean girl look": this autumn makeup explores very different styles. Red lipstick is back in full force, with bright shades in matte or ultra-glossy finishes, but for the eyes and the face we’re getting definitely eclectic choices.
Between blue, bright pink and light green it’s time for a throwback to the ‘90s, with bright colours all over the eyelid. The inspiration comes from pop divas like Britney Spears or Christina Aguilera, in music videos and on the red carpets of the late Nineties: a must-have are pink and different hues of blue, from sky-blue to powder blue.
Our eyeshadows and Linea pencils are perfect to create these looks quickly and in all the colours you can imagine: our library contains over 5000 colour references, but if you want exactly that bright shade of blue that Britney used to wear in 1999, our team is going to recreate it for your private label line.
Brown and burgundy, or deep black, but strictly smudged and "imperfect". This autumn the smokey eyes looks are created in brown, a variation of the classic black or grey with a softer appearance, or get into grungecore, in another throwback to the Nineties.
If you want to paint a perfect smokey eye, you’re going to need highly pigmented products, easy to blend: Linea and Queen of Colours eye pencils are perfect for this job, with their strong colour release and their long-lasting formula, in many different shades. If you’re going for the grunge style, on the other hand, Dip Deep is your go-to pencil. Its wet&dry texture works perfectly for this effect, both dry or with a bit of water: it has a strong colour release and you can smudge it exactly as you want, but when it sets, it will stay in place for hours.
Eyeliner is another main point for fall-winter looks, strictly black and applied in a thick line, or with an elongated design. WaterWood and Linea are great for creating thick and well-defined lines, thanks to their high pigmentation: these pencils are perfect for those who don’t like the glossy finishes or the vinyl effect. Dip Deep - the black one, of course - is also very good for these looks, especially when used wet to enhance the colour release.
Say goodbye to contouring and shadows, this season the trend is all about light. On the catwalks we’ve seen a lot of sculpting done with highlighter and concealer, with light points carefully placed on the nose and on the cheekbones. It’s a perfect use for our Diva line, dual-tip pencils with highlighter and concealer in different palettes, but also for our classic concealer pencils used together with Pearl, for a very bright effect.
